What actually happens when you donate to the LoC Foundation?
You play a crucial part in helping innocent Kashmiris in the affected LoC areas. Overseas Kashmiri’s, Pakistani’s and other helpful humanitarians in the UK are well informed on the issues in Kashmir. Our efforts are to help innocent victims to the best of our ability. LoC citizens on either side of the border have been suffering for 73 years. We believe that it is time we raise global awareness for this long suffering LoC community facing poverty.
100% Donations?
We are proud to say we have a 100% donation policy. We aim to use your generous donations in the most effective way possible, whilst remaining as transparent as possible. No staff is on any payroll. Any money from gift aid will be spent on support costs, including admin and raising more funds. This helps our projects and day-to-day work run efficiently, ensuring we use your donations in the most effective way possible. Gift Aid is included in our overall income and helps us to achieve the allocations across projects, fundraising and admin respectively. Without your support we wouldn’t be able to do any of this, so please continue to give to LoC Foundation UK and help save and support vulnerable communities in need in the line of control (LoC) Kashmir.
Why is LoC Foundation providing aid in Kashmir?
In Kashmir, specifically in the LoC Nakyal sector, people are suffering immensely. Organisations like the World Health Organisation (WHO), are nowhere to be seen. So individuals affected by cross border firing and shelling on the LoC borders and sectors are forced to fight for themselves and forced to live in poverty. The purpose of the LoC is to provide those in need with food, medical assistance and equipping damaged schools with facilities; making such actions their top priority.
What is the need for food packages in LoC areas?
LoC communities like many others are struggling with the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic as well as frequent firing and shelling on the border areas but unfortunately face an even more detrimental fate as they lack food, shelter, a stable livelihood and the basic fundamental facilities that were already hard to come by. We fed and distributed food supplies in bulk to those in need as a result of the donations being sent in.
I want to make regular donations, what can I do?
LoC Foundation has all donation facilities via the official website. These include, PayPal and JustGiving. You can make regular donations via PayPal or you can get in touch with us to set up a direct debit.
‘ Gift Aid ’; what is it?
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways to donate extra to a charity. Using Gift Aid ensures that for every pound donated, the charity you are supporting, will receive an extra 25% from the Inland Revenue. This means that a £10 Gift Aid donation is infact worth £12.50 to the charity.
What a huge difference this could make to the charity you support and it won’t cost you a thing! Also, those who pay tax at a higher rate are eligible to later reclaim upto £25 from the tax office for every £100 that is donated to our charity if they include details specifically of their Gift Aid donations on their Self Assessment form.
Why should I ‘ Gift Aid ’ my donations?
If you are a UK taxpayer and have selected the option to ‘Gift Aid’, we are eligible claim an extra 25% back from HMRC which allows your donation to go even further, with no affect on you at all.

Are there any volunteering positions/can I volunteer abroad?
Unfortunately, LoC Foundation rarely sends volunteers abroad, volunteers and staff are selected with thorough checks on any previous criminal records on convictions. The safety and wellbeing of our volunteers and staff is of utter importance to the charity and we have always ensured their safety comes first. We have always asked overseas representatives to deliver assistance to safe and secure locations where they will not be affected by any cross border firing.
Overseas volunteers and staff are local to the area, they have first-hand knowledge and experience of the areas that they help, something that is key asset to the charity.
