LoC - School Renovation

Neither Covid nor conflict should deny education & opportunities to these amazing children. LoC Foundation UK considers education to be the primary imperative in the empowerment and development of individuals, institutions and communities. It is an all volunteer based organization that relies on generous donations from individuals and sponsors to fulfil its mission.

Children suffer the worst in a conflict. Education is the often ignored but most potent tool for empowering them so they can survive, thrive, and create a better future.

About the project

Starting point

This all Girls Jandrote school needs urgent and further donation as it has safety issues. If has been neglected by the government for so long that the building can collapse anytime.

Support from local communities

All other Kashmiri schools inside the LoC area face the hardship of facing bullets and bombs on a weekly basis and are therefore neglected by the government. Urgent replacement of windows , doors and internal furniture is desperately needed for this and many other schools whom we will campaign further ahead.

End result

LoC foundation are working with a Girls High School in LoC Nakyal, Jandrote. Headmistress Nighat Sahiba explains to us the concerns and difficulties she faces with the health and safety side of this School in the below video.
